Lenovo owned Motorola is launching the devices back to back, like they are very consistent about launching and upgrading their devices to the new technology. in its new segment they have launched two devices in India Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus, and in today's post we will discuss about some problems or cons which users are facing on Moto G5S Plus.
So before we start this post about Cons of Moto G5S Plus let's quickly talk about what we are getting in Moto G5S Plus in terms of the specifications, Moto G5S Plus comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD display 1920x1080p, comes with Snapdragon 625 Octa Core processor, has 4GB of RAM 64 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded upto 256GB using a microSD card, but unfortunately this time Moto has provided a hybrid sim slot so that you can use two sim cards at a time or one sim card along with a MicroSD card at a time, it has 13 megapixel + 13 megapixel dual rear camera which is capable of taking depth effect images or you can say bokeh effect images and has a 8 megapixel front facing camera with wide angle lens and front flash too. The Moto G5S Plus comes with 3000mAh battery which supports fast charging with their own provided turbocharger, the device is coming in two colours- one is Gold and second is lunar grey. And the price of Moto G5S plus is INR 15999. You Can Buy it with this Best Buy Link of Amazon.in
Now let's quickly jump into some Problems/Cons of Moto G5s Plus
Shutter Lag
As the Moto G5s Plus is a camera centric Smartphone and has a dual camera setup in the rear to take DSLR type images, it does its job pretty nicely, but when it comes to shutter speed it feels very laggy the shutter speed on Moto G5s Plus is very slow we can expect Lenovo will fix it with some software updates but as of now shutter speed is very slow and if you click an image with depth effect mode enabled you will see that it takes around 4 to 5 second to process that image.
Low light photography
As you might know that moto G5 plus has a better pixel size of 1.4 μm when compared to Moto G5s Plus its downgraded to 1.10μm because of this the sensor will not be able to capture that much of light and the result will be grainy images in the low light or artificial light conditions. Even its predecessor Moto G5 Plus can capture better image in the low lighting conditions.
No USB Type C Port
As we have seen many devices between 15K to 20K are providing USB type C port, Motorola G5s Plus has provided USB 2.0 port, we know that moto G5s Plus supports Turbo charging but USB type C port could make a noticeable upgrade over Moto G5 Plus
Hybrid SIM Slot
we have seen dedicated Micro SD slot on many Moto devices like Moto G4 Plus, Moto G5, Moto G5 Plus, but this time they have provided hybrid sim slot so that either you can use two sim cards or one sim card along with MicroSD cards upto 256GB, we know that moto G5s plus has enough internal storage of 64GB on board but for some peoples it could be a deal breaker.
As we have discussed some problems or cons of Moto G5s Plus, there are a lot of Pros and Good things present on this device, the device is giving a tough competition to Xiaomi A1, Lenovo K8 Note, Coolpad cool 6 play, and many other devices, the Moto G5s Plus has a great build quality and will be a great device for day to day uses as it has Snapdragon 625 processor it will be more power efficient in comparison to its siblings like- Moto G4 Plus and other devices and also the camera is not that bad but when we compare some similar devices Moto G5s Plus disappoints a bit in the dual camera setup segment.
